I just started watching this week's TGUS. And as they were pulling up in their luxury pick-ups (a breed of car I don't really get, but let's save that for another day) my first thought was "OK, who is going to pull up in what?" My guess is Ford/Dodge/Chevy or GMC. Maybe raceboy in a Titan or a Tundra? But when they do trucks, it's usually a shootout between the big THREE!
So this got me thinking. What if, by some weird happenstance, AMC or some other company had survived, made shitty vehicles, got bailed out etc.... Would there be another presenter on TGUS? And what company would he root for? My guess is AMC, but you guys know American motoring history better than I do! Any guesses?
*Edit: O.K. so wobble-head got the Tundra, but my case still stands.*

If there was still a quirky underdog fourth company like AMC, it would be Rut's brand.

Well, they only used two of the Big Three as it seems Chevy didn't want to supply a truck (or two in Adam's case). If they had a fourth presenter I'd imagine that person would have been in a Chevy

I completely understand why luxury pickups exist but I can't imagine a world where AMC still does. Could you imagine, like, a 2013 Pacer?

From what he said the first time they did modern trucks (first season i think), the reason raceboy grabs Fords is because his crew/support/tow trucks when he races are Fords. (also cause Fords are just better :P). Also, first time round (best truck, not best luxury truck), Adam had a Dodge with a v6, and was given no end of shit for it. funny to see that piled back towards Tanner this time
If AMC was still around, it would totally be Rutledge driving one

Hot Rod is being a pain about linking the image, but :P
2013 Pacer you say?
